The Notre Dame Secondary School Senior Choir traveled this past December from Dublin, Ireland to Prague for our annual Advent Choral Festival in Prague. The spirit and music of Advent and the bustling Christmas Markets made for a warm and cozy atmosphere throughout the streets of Prague. The all girls choir, under the direction of Mary O Rahilly, shared a friendship concert with a local Czech choir at the Gymnazium Jaroslava Heyrovskeho. At the Lichtenstein Palace the choir performed along side the 11 other participating choirs from all over the United States and Europe. Their week in Prague drew to a closed with visits to some of Prague’s most noted sites, including a performance at the St. Nicholas Church on the Old Town Square.
