Vermont International Choir Festival

The green mountains of Vermont where the famous Von Trapp Family Singers settled provide a fitting and beautiful backdrop for the Vermont International Choir Festival. Your choir can choose to perform individually or as part of a massed choir under the direction of Mr. Robert DeCormier.

The Vermont International Choir Festival this past June took an interesting turn -from an SATB Mass Sing to a Treble Voice Mass Sing. It all came about by coincidence when the first groups to register for the event and be accepted by Robert DeCormeir were all youth choirs. The results of this happy coincidence were spectacular, with a breathtaking concert of music arranged and conducted by Mr. Robert DeCormier at the stunning mountain venue of the Trapp Family Lodge in the heart of the Green Mountains of Vermont. Following the festival Mr. Timothy Cahalan, director of the Logansport Children's Choir (Indiana) had to say that:

“…We could not have been happier with the whole experience, from our initial contact with you over a year ago, through all the work and communication done through Theri, to our lodgings - so glad the Commodore's Inn turned out so well - the kids really enjoyed the little lake, kayaking, swimming, etc. Working with Robert DeCormier was an excellent experience, especially since so much of the music was his own, and of such high quality. The kids also appreciated hearing Mr. DeCormier's reminder that, through music, the dream of peace seems more attainable. And what a setting, at the Trapp Family Lodge Concert Meadow - I think half our choir wants to move to Vermont! “
